Letter From The Founder: #7 Closing 2025

By Ziva Javersek

Dear Viva’s community,

As the year slowly comes to a close, I find myself thinking less about dates and milestones, and more about moments - the kind that quietly shape us without asking for attention.

This year unfolded gently, month by month. We began by introducing new ideas and collections, allowing them to find their place in the world. We spent time behind the scenes, shooting, creating, testing, refining and letting the process lead us rather than rushing toward outcomes.

There were moments of movement and change: stepping into a new studio space, visiting women whose stories inspire us, traveling to new places with our bags, and opening ourselves to brand collaboration for the very first time. There were also moments of celebration! Ten years of Viva’s - a milestone that felt less like a finish line and more like a quiet pause to acknowledge how far this journey has carried us.

Throughout the year, we shared more of our inner world through words. New series in our Journal took shape, conversations unfolded, and for the first time, we held our philosophy in written form, offering it as something to return to, not something to consume quickly.

What stays with me most is not the list of what we did, but how we did it: with care, intention, and a deep respect for time.

Thank you for being part of Viva’s. For choosing thoughtfully, for returning, for supporting slow work in a fast world. Your presence allows us to continue creating in a way that feels grounded and meaningful.

As we step into a new year, my wish is simple: that we all allow ourselves to move a little slower, notice a little more, and carry with us only what truly matters.

Just like leather, which becomes more beautiful as it’s lived in, I hope the coming year allows all of us to soften, settle, and grow into what feels most honest.

With gratitude,

Živa
