RESPONSIBILITY
For us, responsibility starts with making fewer things, making them well and keeping them in use for as long as possible. It shapes how much we make, where we make it, which materials we choose and what happens after a bag has been carried for years.
THE APPROACH
01 · MADE IN SMALL QUANTITIES
We produce in small quantities rather than building large seasonal stocks. It gives us more control over quality and helps us avoid unnecessary overproduction.
Sometimes that means a piece sells out and returns only when we are ready to make it again. The process is slower, and we are comfortable with that.
02 · MADE CLOSE TO HOME
Our bags are made in Slovenia by experienced makers and small workshops close to our Ljubljana studio.
Keeping production nearby lets us stay close to the process, the quality and the people behind each piece. Much of the work is done and finished by hand — knowledge and skill we value and want to help preserve.
03 · DESIGNED BEYOND SEASONS
04 · LESS WASTE, LONGER USE
We do not use plastic in our standard packaging and, where possible, smaller leather offcuts are used for smaller pieces rather than discarded.
More importantly, we want Viva’s pieces to stay in use. We offer repairs including stitching, edge finishing and hardware replacement. We would rather help you keep a bag you already love than give you a reason to replace it.
MATERIALS MATTER
Different designs ask different things of leather. Explore the materials behind the collection and why we choose each one for the way it will be used.
