Materials
Different designs ask different things of leather — structure or softness, a smooth surface or a more pronounced grain. Across the collection, each leather is selected to suit the character of the piece and the way it will become more personal with use.
SELECTED FOR EACH DESIGN
Some designs need structure and a surface that develops a distinct patina. Others ask for softness, drape and a more relaxed hand. We work with a small range of carefully selected leathers from Italian and French tanneries, choosing each one for the way it supports the design.
The exact leather used is always listed on the individual product page.
01 · VEGETABLE-TANNED LEATHER
For selected pieces, we use vegetable-tanned Italian leather. Tanned with plant-based tannins, it has a firmer hand, depth of colour and a surface that changes visibly with use.
Over time, the leather softens and develops a patina unique to the way it is carried. Where specified, these leathers are chrome-free.
02 · FRENCH TAURILLON
For selected designs, including Sophie, we use full-grain Taurillon leather from a long-established French tannery.
Its fine natural grain and soft, supple hand give larger bags a relaxed drape without losing substance or durability.
Because the grain remains intact, natural character stays visible on the surface. The leather feels beautiful from the beginning and becomes softer and more personal with use.
03 · TOSCA, PURE ANILINE
For Vera, we use Tosca, a full-grain bovine nappa made in Italy.
Finished in pure aniline and enriched with oils and waxes, it has a smooth, rich surface that keeps the natural character of the hide visible. Made from European hides, Tosca has a subtle pull-up effect that gives the leather depth.
Natural markings remain part of the material, and the surface becomes more individual through use.

CARE & REPAIR
For everyday care, gently wipe away light marks with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow the leather to dry naturally. Keep it away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. If the leather begins to feel dry, use a conditioner suitable for the specific type of leather.
When something needs more attention, we would rather repair than replace. We’re happy to advise on stitching, edge finishing, hardware and other repairs — so the piece can continue to be used for years.
