Roadtrip: Portugal
By Ziva Javersek
Fall is beautiful to travel. The weather is still nice but there's not so many crowds of people everywhere.
This October we went on a Portugal road-trip. We started our trip in Seville (because we could not get any direct flights to Portugal). Seville is a beautiful city, highly recommended.
Two days in Seville is just enough to taste all the tapas and sangrias. After that we continue with a bus to Faro, where our road-trip started. From Faro to Benagil where we enjoyed beach life.
A must see is Praia dos tres Irmaos, Praia de Marinha, Sagres and Praia do Tonel.
After that we headed to Lisbon. We stopped in two nice little towns, Beja and Evora.
Lisbon was just perfect. Suggestions: just stroll around the city, explore all the nice cafes and bars, and try breakfast at Dear Breakfast.
After Lisbon we went to see Cabo da Rocca. On the way there we stopped in Sintra. Just amazing.
From there to Obidos and spent the night in Peniche.
Our road-trip continued to Aveiro. On the way we stopped for lunch in Coimbra.
A must see beach near Aveiro is Costa Nova with all the colourful houses.
We saved Porto for the end. Must see: Casa da Musica & Ferreira Wine tasting. Try breakfast in Zenith.
