Long dinners, neighbourhood cafés and places we'd happily return to.

Paris is one of those cities that reveals itself slowly.

The first visit is often spent chasing landmarks. The second feels a little calmer.

By the third, the city asks something different of you. Less rushing.

More wandering. Less planning every hour. More sitting outside with nowhere else to be.

This guide isn't about seeing everything Paris has to offer.

It's simply a collection of places we genuinely enjoyed—and would happily return to.

Long dinners

Bistrot Ordinaire

One of the most memorable meals of our trip. Classic French cooking meets bold Chinese influences in a way that feels completely effortless. If you're ordering one thing, make it the steak.

Le Dauphin

An intimate Parisian bistro with an all-marble interior that feels timeless rather than trendy. Simple, elegant and the kind of restaurant where one glass of wine easily turns into two.

Adraba

If we could recommend only one dinner in Paris, this would be it. Located in Montmartre, Adraba serves contemporary Levantine cuisine full of vibrant flavours and beautifully balanced dishes.

Morning coffee

Fauna

A small neighbourhood café with excellent specialty coffee and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.

Motors Coffee

Minimal interiors, carefully prepared coffee and the kind of place that quickly becomes part of your morning routine.

Coeur Coffee Roasters

Quiet, understated and beautifully executed. One of our favourite stops for slow mornings.

Places that slow you down

Monet's Water Lilies

A place we return to every time we're in Paris. Monet designed these rooms as a space for meditation rather than simply displaying paintings, and you can still feel that intention today.

Bourse de Commerce

One of the city's most impressive contemporary art spaces, combining historic architecture with changing exhibitions.

Fondation Cartier

Always worth checking before your trip. Even if the exhibition changes, the building itself is reason enough to visit.

Independent finds

Paris is full of beautiful independent boutiques, often discovered by accident while wandering through quieter neighbourhoods.

Rather than shopping with a list, we prefer leaving room for unexpected finds—the pieces that become reminders of a trip long after returning home.

Packed for Paris

For six days in Paris, I carried Vera in Navy.

Large enough for a camera, sunglasses, a notebook and a bottle of water, while remaining understated enough to pair effortlessly with everything I packed.

The kind of bag you stop thinking about because it simply works.

One thing I'd bring home

Not another souvenir.

The Parisian confidence to wear the same pieces again and again.

To own less.

To choose well.

And to let personal style come from repetition rather than constant newness.
