Women Who Inspire: Emma Agersø
Avtor Ziva Javersek
There is a quiet ease to the way Emma moves through life.
She finds joy in the small things like the smell of rain, fresh flowers, a slow morning at home, music playing softly in the background. Her world is shaped by an appreciation for simple rituals, thoughtful spaces, and the people closest to her.
As a mother of three boys and a creative working across photography and visual storytelling, Emma is drawn to what feels honest and real. The moments she shares are never extraordinary in the traditional sense. Instead, they celebrate the beauty of everyday life and remind us that meaning is often found in the ordinary.
Rooted in family, guided by intuition, and inspired by nature, Emma approaches life with a sense of calm intention. We spoke with her about creativity, home, sustainability, and the small rituals that help her stay connected to what matters most.

1. How would you describe yourself in three words?
Loving, creative and grounded.
2. What makes you happy in everyday life?
My family and my home is for sure my happy place. But I also enjoy the little things in my everyday life. Like the smell of the rain, a beautiful pink sky just before the sunset, fresh sheets, fresh flowers, the first coffee in the morning from my favorite handmade cup. Also I'm a big hugger! I just love a good hug!

3. Your content feels very calm and honest. What draws you to sharing everyday moments?
I love everyday life and I make a conscious effort to appreciate the small moments, whether it’s the connection between people in my life or the beauty I find in materials, spaces, and unexpected details. Those are the moments I love capturing through my camera.

4. What is your morning routine?
Normally I wake up and the first thing I do is to drink a big glass of lemon water. It helps me rehydrate after the night. I then use a guasha on my neck and face to stimulate lymphatic drainage and help reduce puffiness, which helps wake up my tired-looking face. Then it’s time to wake up my boys and the circus begins - honestly, I really appreciate a quiet morning without having to rush out the door. I’d rather arrive a little late at school with my boys than start the day feeling stressed and out of sync.

5. What makes a house feel like home to you?
A house needs to be cozy! Not all perfect and all cleaned up. A house is for living and it’s okay for everyone to experience everyday life with clutter and dust in the corners. Who cares! At my house nothing is too precious to be used. You can jump on the sofa and dance on the tables.

6. What is your passion? What inspires you?
My passion is being creative in my job and in my everyday life. I love the nature, architecture and photography.
7. What does sustainability mean to you?
Sustainability means so much to me. I use sustainability as a guiding principle in the choices I make in everyday life. I care for the world and for future generations, just as I do for my own three boys. At the same time, I want to live a sustainable life in the sense that I’ve made certain personal choices - such as working less and focusing on getting closer to the core of what truly creates value for me and my family in the long run.

8. Are there small rituals that help you slow down?
I’ve learned the importance of breathing deeply into my belly. It really helps calm my nervous system. Also I am always listening to calm, happy music. That really helps me to slow down and also to stay positive.
9. What do you always carry in your bag?
My boys are obsessed with collecting stones, so my bag is always full of stones. For myself, I always carry lip balm and water - I’m really serious about staying hydrated. Also I always listen to music! Every chance I get! So of course you will find my airpods in there aswell.

10. A place where you feel most at peace?
In my husband’s arms. I know it’s cheesy, but it’s honest.
11. What would you like to teach your children about living well?
I try to teach my children to trust their instincts and listen to their inner voice. To find joy in the small moments of everyday life and not take everything too seriously. I want them to understand the value of nature’s cycles - where our food comes from, how everything is connected, and the importance of caring for the world around us.
