Ten Years Behind Us, The Future Wide Open – A Look Ahead After Our 10th Anniversary
We’ve just wrapped up an exciting May that quickly turned into June. Our 10th anniversary was something truly special, a meaningful milestone for me personally, as it’s a sign that what we create and put into the world is understood and embraced by others. It confirms that people connect with Viva’s bags, choose to purchase them, and most importantly keep wearing them again and again.
At the same time, it was a milestone for the Viva’s brand itself. Today, we’re present in several European markets, and Viva’s bags are being worn across the globe. We’ve received a heartwarming flood of congratulations and kind words, along with an enthusiastic response to our new model, Viva’s Vera, as well as our other bags and leather accessories.
But I can also feel that stepping into a new decade marks the beginning of something different: a new direction. A symbol of that shift is the opening of Studio Viva’s, located in a beautiful part of Ljubljana’s city center, in a charming neighborhood just beneath the castle. You're warmly invited to visit us there and explore all our products in person.
There’s something truly special about seeing the pieces live. At Viva’s, we’re deeply aware of how important that physical connection is. All your senses come alive. You see, touch, smell, listen. You hear the sound of a zipper and feel the texture of the leather. That direct contact with the product and most importantly, with you, the Viva’s community, has broadened my perspective, opened my eyes, and made me realize just how essential the story behind each product is. Whether it's clothing, accessories, food, or anything else we consume—the story matters.
Consumer awareness is shifting. We all know that quality is no longer guaranteed, and that extremely cheap products often come from companies that lack fundamental values: respect for people, safety, health, and wellbeing for everyone involved in the process. This reflection is what makes me look to the future with optimism. I’m excited to create even more meaningful stories.
We’re definitely planning more collaborations—with brands that share our values—and above all, we’re committed to staying true to our roots and never compromising on quality. Our production process is slower than mass production, and we proudly stand by that. We’re especially grateful that our customers, followers, and partners understand and appreciate the value of this approach.
So where is Viva’s heading next? Forward—toward even more mindful practices and raising awareness about why it’s important to act slowly and intentionally, both in business and in life. The most important thing is that we’re well—and that we do our part to ensure the people around us are well too.
Enjoy the upcoming summer months and make sure you feel good.
With love,
Živa
